Privacy policy
The Analogue Club is an invite-only walking and running club in Baltimore. The app at go.theanalogueclub.com exists to get people off their phones and outside together. We collect only what we need to run the club, we don't sell anything about you, and we don't show ads.

What we collect
When you sign in
- Your name, email address and profile photo from Google, or the email and name you enter if you sign up with email.
- The invite code you used and who invited you.
What you add
- Your profile: display name, neighbourhood, short bio and photo.
- Walks and runs you post or join: meeting point, time, length and notes.
- Messages in the club chat, walk chats and private messages.
- Reports and feedback you send, including any screenshot you attach.
Location, only at check-in
- When you tap Check in, your phone shares its location once so we can confirm you're at the meeting point. We save whether you were close enough and how far away you were. We don't track your location at any other time, and we never track it in the background.
How you use the app
- When you sign in, the device and browser type (for example "Phone · iOS · Safari"), and whether you used Google or email.
- When the app is open on screen: which screens you open, how long you spend in the app, and when you were last active.
- Actions such as posting, joining or checking in to a walk, sending a message (we record the type of chat, never the text), sharing an invite, and finishing the intro tour.
Analytics
- We use Google Analytics on theanalogueclub.com and go.theanalogueclub.com to understand visits: pages viewed, device type, approximate region and how people found us. In the app, Google Analytics receives a random member ID. It never receives your name, email, invite code or anything you write.
How we use it
- To run the club: let you in with an invite, show walks and runs, connect people who want to go together, and award stamps and streaks for walks you actually showed up to.
- To keep the club safe. Public content (club chat, walk chats, walk notes, names and bios) is checked automatically by an AI safety tool that flags possible problems for a person to review. The tool never deletes, hides or bans anything on its own. Private messages are not scanned.
- To improve the app, using activity and analytics to see what people use and where they get stuck.
- To contact you about your account or the club.
Who can see what
- Other members see your display name, photo, neighbourhood, bio, stamps, and the walks you post or join.
- Private messages are visible only to the people in that conversation. The club's administrators can read a private message only if someone in the conversation reports it.
- Club administrators can see member accounts, activity and sign-in history, walks, public chats, reports, safety flags and feedback, to run and protect the club. Every administrator action is logged.
- Service providers process data for us to run the app: Lovable (app hosting, database and sign-in), Google (sign-in and Google Analytics), and the AI provider used for safety checks on public content. They process it on our behalf and not for their own advertising.
- We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. We'll share information only if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
- Your account and what you've posted stay until you delete your account or ask us to.
- Activity records (sessions, screens and actions) are deleted automatically after 12 months.
- When you delete your account, we remove your profile, messages, walks and activity within 30 days. Copies in backups expire on their normal schedule.
Your choices
- Edit your profile at any time from the Me tab.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete your account: email hello@theanalogueclub.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
- You can block Google Analytics with your browser's privacy settings or a tracker blocker. The app still works.
- You can refuse location access. You won't be able to check in, but everything else works.
Age
The Analogue Club is for people 18 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top and let members know in the app.
